“Culinary Class War” Jung Ji-sun Reveals Miscarriage After 10 Years of Marriage

Recently gaining attention for reaching the TOP 8 of “Culinary Class War,” Jung Ji-sun prepares a special meal for her close friend who supported her during tough times on Channel A show’s “Table for 4”. 

Guests at the event include renowned chef Yeo Kyung-rae, comedian Jung Jun-ha, and singer Byeol, who admire Jung Ji-sun’s collection of over 1,000 liquor bottles. They are particularly impressed by a $3,500 zodiac-themed bottle featuring Jung Ji-sun and her husband’s signs. Jung Ji-sun serves a feast with maracream shrimp dim sum and a rare limited-edition liquor, of which only 3,000 bottles were made.

Reflecting on her journey, Jung Ji-sun recalls meeting Chef Yeo Kyung-rae during her culinary studies in China, where he recognized her potential. After returning, she struggled to find work in a male-dominated industry but secured a position thanks to Yeo Kyung-rae’s recommendation.

Throughout her career, Jung Ji-sun faced discrimination and injury, including a 30-stitch cut from a noodle-pulling machine. Despite this, she returned to work quickly, even hiding her pregnancy at times. Chef Yeo Kyung-rae shares how she was once not allowed to wear glasses, claiming it slowed her down.

Jung Ji-sun also opens up about her miscarriage after ten years of marriage, feeling guilty for returning to work the day after surgery and not being able to grieve properly. She expresses gratitude to Byeol, her sole confidante during this tough period.

In a light moment, Jung Ji-sun surprises everyone with kimchi pancakes, which she calls soul food, causing Jung Jun-ha to recall a past incident on “Infinite Challenge” where he faced backlash for being rude while making them. He jokingly complains, but Jung Ji-sun seems unaware of the incident, prompting laughter as he reveals he remains close to chef Myung Hyun-ji.
